Report Motive

About

Built by one project manager who was tired of writing the same report every month.

Hi, I'm Salma S. I'm a project manager, and Report Motive started as a tool I built for myself.

Every month I was doing the same thing: pulling billability, capacity, and bench numbers out of spreadsheets, chasing status updates across calls and screenshots, and turning all of it into a narrative summary leadership could actually read in a few minutes. It was slow, it was repetitive, and it was the same work every single cycle — just with different numbers.

Report Motive is what I built to fix that: import the data you already have, standardize the billability and capacity view, and let an AI narrative do the first pass at the write-up so the report is mostly written before you sit down to it.

Right now it's just me building and running this. That's also why it's free — I'd rather people actually use it and tell me what's wrong with it than lock features behind a plan before it's proven itself.

If you're using Report Motive, or thinking about it, I'd genuinely like to hear from you — what's missing, what's confusing, what would make this worth your time every month.
