Do I need to change how I collect data?

No. Paste your existing Google Sheet URL or upload a CSV. The importer reads whatever format you have and maps fields automatically. Most teams are live in under 10 minutes.

Is Report Motive only for PMOs?

Not at all. Report Motive works for any team that does monthly delivery reporting — agencies, consulting firms, SaaS delivery orgs, and studios all use the same core workflow.

Who can see my reports?

Only you can see the dashboard. When you share a report, recipients get a read-only link with no account or login needed. You can password-protect every link and set expiry dates.

What happens after the 2-month trial?

You can keep every feature for $5/month — no seat limits, no feature tiers. If you decide not to continue, your data is exported and your account is closed. No lock-in.

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Report Motive ("we", "us", or "our") and our reporting application available at https://www.reportmotive.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Report Motive is a monthly operations reporting tool for delivery teams. It allows you to import operational data, calculate reporting metrics, generate AI-assisted narratives, and share reports with stakeholders. The features available to you depend on whether you are on a free trial or a paid subscription.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We will try to give reasonable advance notice of any significant changes that affect existing paid subscribers.

2. Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must promptly notify us of any unauthorized access to your account at hello@reportmotive.com.

You must provide accurate information when creating your account. Each account is for a single user. You may not share your account credentials with others or create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or create security risks.

3. Free trial and subscriptions

Free trial. New accounts receive a 2-month free trial with access to all Service features. No credit card is required to start the trial. At the end of the trial period, access to the Service is limited until you subscribe to a paid plan.

Paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed monthly at the price listed on the pricing page at the time you subscribe. By subscribing, you authorize us (through our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy) to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.

Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

Price changes. We will give at least 30 days notice before changing subscription prices. Continued use of the Service after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

4. Your data

You retain ownership of all data you import or enter into the Service ("Your Data"). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Data for the sole purpose of providing the Service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit Your Data to the Service. Do not submit data that you do not have permission to share or that contains another person's personal information without their consent.

We will not sell, share, or disclose Your Data to third parties except as required to provide the Service (for example, storing data in our database provider) or as required by law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service
Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service without our written permission
Submit content that is harmful, offensive, or infringes any third-party rights
Interfere with the operation of the Service or the servers or networks it uses
Use the Service to compete with us by replicating core features in a competing product

6. AI features

The Service includes AI-generated narratives and Q&A features powered by the Anthropic API. AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes and should be reviewed before use. We are not responsible for errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in AI-generated content.

Do not rely on AI-generated narratives as a substitute for professional judgment. The AI reads your imported data and generates text based on patterns — it does not audit your data, verify its accuracy, or provide business advice.

7. Shareable links

You may generate read-only shareable links that allow others to view your reports without an account. You are responsible for who you share these links with. Password-protecting links is your responsibility. We are not liable for unauthorized access to reports accessed via links you have shared.

We reserve the right to disable any shareable link that we determine is being used to distribute harmful, unlawful, or inappropriate content.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding Your Data), is owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our written permission.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you, and nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Your Data to us.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

Report Motive is a reporting tool, not a financial advisory, legal, or professional service. Decisions made based on data processed through the Service are your responsibility.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, Your Data, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice in the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Report Motive is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of that jurisdiction, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
